Shipping
When we post it
Order before 13:00 Amsterdam time on a business day and we usually post it the same day. Orders placed later, or at the weekend, go out the next business day. In busy weeks, such as December, it can take a day longer. We fill orders in the order they come in.
Within the Netherlands
- Standard post: €7.40
- Letterbox parcel: €4.65
- Free on orders of €30 and above
Delivery normally takes 3 to 5 business days.
Outside the Netherlands
We post to Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Hungary, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. You see the shipping cost at checkout, before you pay. Those deliveries take longer than deliveries within the Netherlands.
Everything ships from Amsterdam.
Returns and exchanges
Teaware and gifts
You can return teaware and gifts within 30 days of receiving your order. Send them back unused and in the original packaging. We refund to the payment method you used.
Tea
Loose tea can come back within 30 days, as long as it is unused. Sealed packs, such as our teabag boxes, matcha tins and latte mixes, can only come back while the seal is unbroken. Once a seal is broken we cannot sell that pack again.
If something is wrong with your order
If an item arrives damaged, or it is not what the page described, email us. You get the full amount back, including the postage you paid, or a replacement. The return postage is on us.
How to return something
Bring it to either teabar, or post it to the address below. Both teabars are open every day. Jan Eef on Jan Evertsenstraat is open from 10:00 to 18:00, and the teabar in the OBA in Buitenveldert from 09:30 to 18:00. If you post it, package it well. You pay the return postage, unless the item was damaged or wrong. Once it reaches us we refund the amount.
Exchanges cannot be done by post. If you want to swap something and cannot come in, return the item and place a new order.
